Therapist or Psychologist, Women's Mental Health (Part-Time)
Dr. Jana is expanding her practice and wants to bring on a clinician with a passion for women's mental health. Her clients are women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood, and high-achieving women dealing with perfectionism, burnout, and demanding lives.
The practice is focused on high-quality, evidence-based care for women. Dr. Jana values authenticity, and she believes in working hard while also having fun. She wants the clinicians she works with to feel seen and supported, and she does that through training, case consultation, and monthly lunch-and-learns, plus the occasional coffee or happy hour.

The role
This opportunity is a good fit for someone who wants to supplement their income, get more experience in perinatal and women's mental health, work part-time, or start with a small caseload and build from there.
- Part-time W-2 position. You set your own days and hours.
- In-person sessions at the Central Austin office on Mondays and Tuesdays are preferred. Other days are telehealth with clients in Texas or wherever you're licensed.
- Caseload depends on inquiries and client fit. There is no minimum and no guaranteed caseload.
- Target start: December 2026 or January 2027.
Pay
Pay is a percentage of the fee for each completed session, starting at $105 per session and higher depending on credentials and experience. Session pay includes that session's notes and paperwork. Required meetings outside sessions are paid as set out in the written offer. There is no office rent and no benefits package at this time. You're welcome to work at other practices or have other sources of income. Clients referred through this practice are seen here.
What you get
- Training and case consultation with Dr. Jana in perinatal and women's mental health.
- Scheduling, billing, intake paperwork, and phone inquiries handled by the practice.
- Marketing and referrals to help build your caseload.
- A beautifully furnished office in Central Austin at 5750 Balcones Drive, where babies are welcome.
- For postdoctoral psychologists: supervision toward licensure, once a Texas provisional license and supervision plan are in place.
Who you are
- Licensed in Texas as an LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or psychologist, ideally with two or more years of post-licensure experience. Postdoctoral psychology applicants are also considered. This opening is not for associates, LMSWs, students, or interns.
- Experienced with, or eager to focus on, pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, perfectionism, and burnout.
- Organized and self-directed. You manage your own schedule, keep notes current in Jane (our EHR) within 48 hours, and don't need to be micromanaged.
- Interested in ongoing training and consultation in these areas.
- Professional and warm, in person and on video.
- For psychologists, PSYPACT authorization is a plus. PMH-C is welcome but not required.
Who this role isn't for
Dr. Jana values authenticity, so she'd rather be upfront about it. This role probably isn't the right fit if:
- You aren't passionate about working with women, or about gaining experience in perinatal mental health and in burnout among high-achieving women.
- You plan to open your own full-time private practice in the next year or two. Dr. Jana is looking for someone who wants to grow with the practice.
- You want a full caseload right away. Caseloads here start small and build over time.
How hiring works
- Apply with your résumé or CV and a short introduction.
- Meet Dr. Jana on a 20-minute video call.
- Talk through a de-identified case together.
- Reference checks, Texas license verification, and a written offer.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and we aim to respond to every application within five business days. If this opening isn't the right fit, we'll keep your application in mind for future openings. The practice is an equal opportunity employer.
